Services
New Patients
Yes — we warmly welcome new patients to Gordon Village General Practice. You can book an appointment by calling our reception team on (02) 9498 1888, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Online bookings will also be available shortly through our website.
Yes — we offer telehealth appointments for patients who are unable to attend the practice in person. Please call our reception team to arrange a telehealth consultation. Please note that telehealth and in-person consultations attract the same fees. Patients who have not attended the practice for a face-to-face consultation within the last 12 months will not be eligible for a Medicare rebate for telehealth services.
We are open Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. We are closed on weekends and public holidays. For after hours medical care, our practice has an arrangement with 13SICK (13 74 25), an after hours doctor service available when the practice is closed.
We kindly ask that you give us as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Appointments cancelled or not attended with less than 4 hours notice will attract a cancellation fee of $50. This fee is not claimable through Medicare or private health insurance. To cancel or reschedule, please call us on (02) 9498 1888 as soon as possible.
Our practice has an arrangement with 13SICK (13 74 25), an after hours doctor service available when the practice is closed. For life-threatening emergencies, please call 000 immediately.
We are located at Unit 8, Gordon Village Arcade, 767–769 Pacific Highway, Gordon NSW 2072. We are conveniently situated along the T1 North Shore train line — Gordon Station is just a 2 minute walk away. Parking is available at the Council car park next to Gordon Train Station and at The Gordon Centre.
We aim to see patients promptly. For non-urgent concerns, we typically have availability within a few days For urgent matters, call us early in the morning on (02) 9498 1888 — we reserve same-day appointment slots for patients who need urgent care. We encourage you to book in advance when possible, as this helps us allocate the right appointment length for your needs.
Yes — we have two female GPs on our team. Dr Sarah Saw, our practice owner, and Dr Marcia Dunnet are both available for consultations. If you have a preference to see a female doctor, please let our reception team know when booking your appointment and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
A standard appointment (up to 15 minutes) is suitable for straightforward concerns like acute illnesses, minor injuries, or brief follow-ups. A long appointment (up to 30 minutes) allows more time for complex issues, detailed discussions, chronic disease management, or when you have multiple concerns to address. If you think you'll need extra time, mention this when booking — our reception team can help you choose the right length and ensure your doctor has adequate time to give you the care you deserve.
